After many years, the Captain's Inn was delighted to host the World Harmony Run again. It is a long distance marathon that travels the entire world with a torch, much like an olympic run. The purpose is to promote peace, harmony and tolerance for the human race. They run as much as 25,000 miles. We donated rooms for the women's relay team. Captain's Inn staff ran the torch down Moss Landing Road as part of the coastal route from San Diego to San Francisco. They are a group of upbeat, positive people taking on quite a challenge and they were a joy to have as our guests. Check them out at worldharmonyrun.com
June is a traditional wedding month. At the Captain's Inn this month, we had over 25 honeymoons and even more wedding anniversaries. The longest married couple this month was celebrating 53 years. We have also hosted several wedding parties and were the location for a small wedding. We are an ideal location for small weddings. Our Captain can officiate at weddings either here, or on the tour boat, or at the beach. The romance is everywhere in the air plus everyone is so cheerful.
